Metromotion Controls designs and commissions automation and control systems for Australian F&B manufacturers. We are an Ignition Gold Certified System Integrator and a Rockwell Partner Integrator. We are the automation partner for Australia's leading F&B manufacturers like Chobani, Lactalis, La Casa del Formaggio and Real Pet Food.

On-site / MelbourneWe work across the full project lifecycle, from design and programming through to commissioning and ongoing support. We have delivered more than 200 projects across dairy, beverage, snack foods, pet food and baked goods manufacturing.
The manufacturers we work with tend to keep working with us. Most of the plants we work in today have been through two or three upgrade cycles with us on site.
PLC, SCADA, HMI, control panels, OT networks, functional safety, MES integration and commissioning. Single-line upgrades through to multi-site rollouts.

We visit your facility, review your existing systems, and work with you to understand your production and business goals. From that, we build an automation roadmap that gives every project a clear direction and ensures each investment builds toward something bigger.
We prepare a fixed-scope proposal with clear deliverables and a realistic timeline. You know exactly what you are getting before any work begins.
We work directly with your site team, trades, and project stakeholders throughout delivery. Getting the right people involved early means we fit within existing schedules, respect site constraints, and avoid surprises during commissioning.
We remain available after handover. Most of our clients have worked with us across multiple projects over many years, and that continuity matters when an issue needs attention outside business hours.

"A one-in-a-million partnership we have not seen anywhere else in the world."Hugh Roddy, VP Global Engineering, Chobani

Featured2012 to ongoingFull-plant automation from the ground up. Site power, process automation and facility integration aligned to Chobani standards.
Platform choice is driven by the plant and the team running it. Some sites are on Ignition. Others on Rockwell or Siemens, with Sepasoft above or a historian behind. The right call depends on the site.

Around 80% of our work each year is for manufacturers we have worked with before.
Engineering automation for Australian F&B manufacturers since 2012.
PLC and SCADA through to MES, historian, ERP integration and cloud-connected data.
Based at Mount Waverley, Melbourne. Project delivery across Victoria, NSW, SA, Queensland and other states since 2015.
Metromotion Controls is the automation partner for Australia’s leading F&B manufacturers. We engineer the control and software systems that run a modern food and beverage factory: the systems that sequence a CIP wash, run a packaging line, or coordinate a multi-stage batch. Our scope spans PLC programming, SCADA and HMI development, MES integration, control panel engineering, functional safety and OT networks. We have delivered over 200 projects since 2012 and most of our clients have been with us across multiple projects.
We have been the automation integrator on Chobani’s Australian sites since 2012. Other long-running engagements include Lactalis Australia (across multiple dairy sites), La Casa del Formaggio, Real Pet Food, Remedy Drinks, Peters Ice Cream and Austral Bricks. Around 80% of our work each year is for manufacturers we have worked with before.
F&B is our primary industry, including dairy processing, beverage, snacks, meat and pet food. We also work in packaging, agricultural processing and building products manufacturing across Australia.
Our engineering team is based at 39 Sunhill Road, Mount Waverley, Victoria. We deliver projects nationally across Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland and other Australian states. Interstate project delivery has been a regular part of our practice since 2015.
